Campaign Statement
I consider Rancho Palos Verdes to be the jewel of Los Angeles County. I am running for City Council not to change anything, but to keep RPV the gem it is. If elected, I will govern with four key principles:
Local Control – I will resist to the fullest extent possible any densification mandates or zoning overrides from the county, state or federal governments. High rises belong downtown, not on our peninsula.
2
Fiscal responsibility – RPV is among cities with the best financial condition in California. I will not jeopardize it.
1
Environment – I will fight for every square inch of our green space, and if given a chance, add to it. I favor the restoration of habitat for threatened species such as the Palos Verdes blue butterfly and the California gnatcatcher, to name two.
4
Public Safety – The longstanding relationship between the Sheriff’s office and RPV has made RPV one of the top 15 safest municipalities in California. I support continuing our contract and strengthening our bond with the Sheriff’s department.
3
Keeping RPV financially strong, independent, safe, clean and beautiful will ensure we remain the jewel of Los Angeles county. If you agree with me, please vote for me in November.

My History with the City
I am now into my eighth year living in Rancho Palos Verdes, with two sons in the PVP school system.
For the last five years here, I have been a volunteer on the Finance Advisory Committee, serving as Chairman for three and continuing in that role now. The work on the FAC has given me a clear view of the City's financial position and would greatly help me make responsible decisions as a Council Member, if elected.
My Professional Background
I am an actively licensed C.P.A. in California, having worked on the corporate side most of my career. I have been CFO of multiple companies, and work today as CFO for one. I have an MBA from the University of Chicago and a Masters in Accounting from Keller Graduate School.
My combination of volunteer work for the City and my professional background lend me a unique and pragmatic management perspective to offer the City as a Council Member.
